These are a lot harder for me to plan out, when I get to a rally after a few hours I’m ready to leave and go back to riding. It’s day light it’s riding time for me, now after the sun goes down I’m ready to party. Now here’s where I have a problem making a ride for the Rally’s. You have a group, not everybody wants to ride all day like me. Some want to ride first thing then stay the day at the Rally, others want to ride from vendor display to venue. Some Rallies are spread out so you can get rides in between venues others are in one location. Some don’t really have any great riding around like Daytona. I’m sorry I’ from the east coast so I’ve ridden up and down the coast my entire life. It’s flat and mostly straight and it’s not all that. Now take Sturgis you have all the parks, monuments, great roads, things to see, and Wyoming is right there. Take Americade’s Lake George, New York and the Adirondack Mountains plenty of mountains roads to ride. It’s hard not to ride there, Laconia, New Hampshire with the White Mountains and part of them is Mt Washington a quick 250 plus miles round trip going my route. Boone, North Carolina has tons of ride and some of the most famous Named Rides in the closest proximity. BBQ in Fayetteville, Arkansas hell I don’t even stay in Fayetteville, I know of a better place to ride and the have great bands and some venues. So my recommendation is pick your group, discuss how much you want to see verses venues. Again the venues are open at night and that’s when the best bands will be playing. Decide how long you have to stay in the area, if your riding out I can make a route for the ride there and back. I can even come to you or meet you in route with a tour on the way. The biggest thing to remember is have an idea of things you want to do and see. But don’t make an exact plan, things are always in flux and changing. If you don’t have a set plan you can be disappointed because you didn’t do everything you set down for every minute of the day. It’s a vacation, leave the plan at home and find the adventure.
